Schools Broadband take home fifth ISPA award in four years, with all ISPs recognised as ‘Internet Heroes.’

The Internet Service Providers’ Association came together this month to unveil the winners of the 22nd Annual UK Internet Industry Awards the ISPA’s. Unlike award ceremonies of years gone by, it took place on an online video platform for the first time, yet spirits and anticipation remained high, hosting a range of companies that make up the ISP industry. Schools Broadband are delighted to have won two awards for ‘Best Cyber Security’ and ‘Best Customer Solution.’ This is the business’ fifth win in four years.

David Tindall, CEO for Talk Straight comments: “This is a fantastic achievement for the business and shows that we continue to provide customers with a first-class service. Our winning security solution combines our own innovative and unique cloud-based infrastructure with world-leading Fortinet security technology. Because of this, we enable some of the world’s best security at an affordable price for our customers.”

“This year has presented new challenges for the industry. Not least, our education customer base has demanded remote, filtered online working and learning, to maintain a totally safe and secure experience for its users. Despite these new challenges, we have provided our customers with bespoke options suited to their needs. It’s great to be formally recognised as a trail blazer in providing the best ‘innovative technical solutions’ for our customers.”

“It is also important that ISPs across the sector who have joined us in this challenge have been recognised as Internet Heroes. We should be proud as an industry that we have adapted and stepped up to the challenge in what has been a difficult and challenging year for many.”

ISPA Chair Andrew Glover commented: “…2020 has been a year like no other, but it has also been a year where ISP employees were seen as key workers, broadband has underpinned the entire economy to keep businesses operating and we were all able to keep in touch with loved ones through the pandemic. This is why the internet industry was awarded the Internet Hero award this year. The internet industry has kept Britain Connected, and these winners deserve special recognition for their awards.”
