Schools Broadband is to deploy internet access and cloud-hosted web filtering and security services to another three Multi Academy Trusts, covering 39 schools.
The MATs were keen to enhance their broadband connectivity and safe internet provision to meet the specific needs of pupils and their teachers, both in schools and at their homes.
They wanted to ensure a seamless transition to a new provider, including robust technical and commercial requirements, as well as continuity of existing functionality across the MATs and schools.
Schools Broadband won the contract through a national competition run by the Crown Commercial Service’s Education Technology Framework. We were able to secure the contract by offering a saving of £323,000 (equivalent to 38%) and unparalleled flexibility that enables each school to select services to match their individual budget, as well as offering installation of fibre-based services within a tight timescale.
